Caitlin DeLore

Masters of Sports Physiotherapy

Physiotherapist

Caitlin’s approach starts with one idea: no two bodies recover the same way. Every assessment and treatment plan is built around you — combining hands-on manual therapy with an exercise program designed for your specific goals, not a generic protocol. She has a particular interest in total knee replacement rehabilitation, patellofemoral (kneecap) pain, and hip conditions like bursitis and gluteal tendinopathy, where getting the hands-on treatment and the loading right makes all the difference to how well and how fast you recover.

Caitlin also has a passion for paediatric physiotherapy — particularly for kids with musculoskeletal or sports-related pain, an area she feels is under-served. Many paediatric physios work primarily within the NDIS and disability space, so children with growing pains, sports injuries, or other musculoskeletal issues can end up being referred on or missed altogether. With training in both paediatric and sports physiotherapy, Caitlin is well placed to fill that gap and is always happy to see paediatric clients.

Her experience runs deep. Four years at John Hunter Hospital gave her acute, hospital-level exposure to orthopaedic, neurological, and cardiorespiratory care — the kind of pressure-tested experience most private practitioners never get. During this time she also spent a year in hand therapy working alongside hand surgeons, and can fabricate custom thermoplastic splints, a skill that’s stayed a special interest ever since.

On the sporting side, Caitlin spent several years as Head Physiotherapist for the Newcastle Knights (Reserve Grade, U20s, and the Junior Knights Program) and has worked with local rugby clubs for over 10 years.

Caitlin holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, a Postgraduate Certificate and Masters in Sports Physiotherapy, and remains active with the Australian Physiotherapy Association, teaching on their national Level 2 course.

Caitlin is available Mondays and Wednesdays.

“Caitlin has worked on the sidelines with the Newcastle Knights, experiencing the pressures and demands of elite sport, and has spent 11 years in the clinic at Regent Street Physiotherapy — where she finds the greatest reward in the impact of truly individualised care.”

While at University, Caitlin received an Australian Physiotherapy Award for Excellence in Paediatric Physiotherapy. In 2019 Caitlin was invited to present at an Australian Physiotherapy Association course on “Lifespan considerations for Physiotherapy: Paediatrics, adolescence, female and elderly athletes”. Caitlin spent time learning at the Australian Institute of Sport to become a Sports Level 3 Physio. She has also completed a number of courses including the McKenzie Low Back Management, APA Segmental Dry Needling and Acupuncture, The Sporting Spine, APA Spinal Level 1, SportsMap Injury Prevention Vs Performance, SportsMap Lower Limb Muscle Injury Management.
