Physiotherapist
Ben graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2015. During his studies, Ben worked at Lingard Private Hospital within the rehabilitation ward. He gained valuable experience with postoperative procedures, allowing him to develop his knowledge in patient specific exercise prescription and hydrotherapy. After graduating he worked within a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy practice in Wollongong, where he worked with NYC Under 20’s Illawarra Dragons, University of Wollongong Rugby Club and West’s Red Devils Rugby Football Club.
As a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Ben has developed skills through additional studies in dry needling, sports strapping, level one sports trainer certificate and continued professional development in back pain and shoulder injuries.
Ben has furthered his training and has a special interest in treating vestibular disorders including BPPV, vestibular neuritis and balance related disorders. In June 2024 Ben completed a six day intensive evidence based ‘Vestibular Dysfunction and Management: Clinical Competency Course” at the Bond University on the Gold Coast. This course consisted of lectures, practicums, simulated patients, live demonstrations and a competency assessment. The course provided Ben with updated knowledge and clinical skills to improve his application of assessment and overall management of persons with dizziness and imbalance. The course was presented by Dr Katrina Williams, Leia Barnes, Natalie Rando-Orr and Dr Ann Rahmann who have over 100 years of combined experience. Each of the presenters have advanced skills and education in the management of persons with vestibular conditions, neurological and geriatric physiotherapy and are leaders in teaching and research.
Ben is currently working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday’s from 8.00am to 5.00pm. Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing any form of sport and spending time with his wife, young children and golden retriever.

"He has worked as head Physiotherapist for the Newcastle Knights reserve grade during 2017-2018 and the Newcastle Knights Under 20’s in 2018. He has also had the opportunity to work with other various sporting codes including NSWRL, State of Origin, NSWIS Swimming association, NSW Cricket, Hunters Basketball, Hunter Hurricanes Water Polo and Merewether Carlton Rugby Club."
