Physio Appointments
You do not require a referral to attend our practice. The only time that a referral is necessary is if the treatment is to be covered by Workcover, Third Party or Veteran’s Affairs.
An hour long appointment will be scheduled for your first consultation or for a new injury. Subsequent treatments will be 30 minutes.
We are generally open from Monday to Thursday’s 7am – 7pm and Friday’s from 7am – 5.30pm.
Consultations / Treatments
Loose comfortable clothing is best. Gowns and shorts are provided if it is necessary to access some areas of the body for treatment.
An appointment is scheduled to allow your therapist to gain a full history of your injury. Your therapist will ask a number of questions about the injury as well as examine the area in question.
Bring your referral if you have been given one, and also any recent x-rays or scan results for the treatment areas.

Fees
Payment on the day is preferred. Physiotherapy is covered under the ancillary cover of your Private Health Insurance.
At Regent Street Physiotherapy we have a tiered fee structure based on the qualifications of our Physiotherapists. For specialisation/PhD Qualifications the Initial consultation is $175.00 and $110.00 for a subsequent consultation. For Post Graduate Masters level qualified Physiotherapists the Initial consultation is $140.00 and $100.00 for a subsequent consultation. For graduate qualifications the Initial consultation is $130.00 and $95.00 for a subsequent consultation.
If you have an ongoing/long-term injury you may qualify for a Medicare rebate which is available for 5 physiotherapy sessions under the Enhanced Primary Care program (EPC). You will need to speak to your Doctor to find out if you are eligible for this rebate.
With our HICAPS facility, on the spot processing is available for most Health funds so you only pay the gap.
Please ensure you bring your Health Fund Card with you to utilise this service.

At Regent Street Physiotherapy, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes appointments need to be rescheduled. To ensure we can offer the best service to all our clients, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:
- Cancellation Notice
- We kindly request that you provide a minimum of 8 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- Cancellations made within 8 hours of your scheduled appointment time may incur a cancellation fee
- Cancellation Fees
- A $50 cancellation fee will be charged for appointments cancelled within 8 hours of the scheduled time.
- No-shows (appointments where the patient does not show up and does not notify us) will incur the full session fee.
