Appointments

Do I need a referral?

You do not require a referral to attend our practice. The only time that a referral is necessary is if the treatment is to be covered by a Workcover or Third Party claim, or is covered by Veteran’s Affairs.

How long will my appointment be?

An hour long appointment will be scheduled for your first consultation or for a new injury. Subsequent treatments will be 30 minutes.

What are your business hours?

We are generally open from Monday to Friday 7am – 7pm and on Saturday from 8am – 2pm.


Consultations / Treatments

What should I wear?

Loose comfortable clothing is best. Gowns and shorts are provided if it is necessary to access some areas of the body for treatment.

What can I expect in my consultation?

An appointment is scheduled to allow your therapist to gain a full history of your injury. Your therapist will ask a number of questions about the injury as well as examine the area in question.

What should I bring with me?

Bring your referral if you have been given one, and also any recent x-rays or scan results for the treatment areas.

For prescription orthotics bring your work, school and or sports shoes to assist with the fitting.


Fees

How can I pay?

Payment on the day is preferred. Physiotherapy is covered under the ancillary cover of your Private Health Insurance.

How much will it cost?

For an initial hour appointment the current fee ranges from between $95.00 and $140.00

For subsequent half hour appointments the fee ranges from $75.00 to $85.00.

We also offer a reduced fee for pensioners of $85.00 for an initial and $66.00 for subsequent visits.

If you have an ongoing/long-term injury you may qualify for a medicare rebate which is available for 5 physiotherapy sessions under the Enhanced Primary Care program (EPC). You will need to speak to your Doctor to find out if you are eligible for this rebate.

Do you have HICAPS?

With our HICAPS facility, on the spot processing is available for most Health funds so you only pay the gap.

Please ensure you bring your Health Fund Card with you to utilise this service.
